PRODUCTION OF RDF: HOW VALUABLE PRODUCTS ARE CREATED FROM INDUSTRIAL WASTE WITH THE AK 565

The AK 565 grinds pre-sorted waste to an optimal final grain size. This allows processors to produce high-quality RDF for cement plants – quickly, reliably, and flexibly.

Cement production is a complex process. Essentially, this construction material is created by burning raw materials at extremely high temperatures. The main components of cement are limestone, clay, and sand, which are mixed in specific proportions. The quality of the final product largely depends on the quality of the raw materials and their proper processing.

RDF – The Sustainable Fuel Alternative

Refuse-derived fuels, produced from shredded waste, are playing an increasingly important role in the cement industry. They are not only a sustainable solution for the thermal utilization of waste but also a cost-effective fuel alternative. Their preparation for the production process is crucial. Shredding waste to the final grain size ensures homogeneous combustion in the rotary kiln. Moreover, an optimal size is necessary for the efficient use of the fuel, significantly reducing energy consumption.

AK 565 for Maximum Flexibility and Optimal Results

With the AK 565, Doppstadt offers processors the ideal solution for RDF production from pre-sorted waste. This powerful mobile grinder excels particularly in its flexibility: thanks to an easy-to-exchange fine-shredding basket , the final grain size can be adjusted flexibly.  Freely oscillating flails and a retractable baffle plate with a rear basket also ensure maximum resistance to contaminants. Optional features make the AK 565 even more powerful, for example, in the removal of ferrous metals. An integrated magnetic pulley and an overbelt magnet are available as options. The grinder also proves versatile when completely changing applications: with quick reconfiguration, the machine can also grind other materials such as green waste or waste wood.

System Solution for Contaminated Industrial and Commercial Waste

Is higher processing effort required? No problem: even for heavy contaminated industrial and commercial waste, Doppstadt has the right solution. The combination of the AK 565, INVENTHOR, and a screening machine produces high-quality RDF. The INVENTHOR serves as the primary shredder, coarsely breaking down the material, while a strong magnet ensures an initial removal of ferrous metals. The subsequent screening machine separates out the mineral content. The coarse fraction from the screening machine is then processed to the final grain size with the AK 565.
