At Ecoberg’s modern site in Cologno al Serio (Italy), almost every type of industrial, construction, and demolition waste is processed. A large portion of the materials passes through a stationary processing line indoors. However, for outdoor processing, the company was looking for a more flexible solution which, unlike a fixed installation, could be used across the entire site. The machine needed to be mobile and capable of efficiently shredding a variety of materials, such as waste wood, construction waste and bulky waste.
A solution that simply runs
The answer to these needs was provided by our long-standing sales partner Cesaro Mac Import with the CoreShred 8. As a mobile, track-mounted twin-shaft shredder, the machine solves Ecoberg’s problems in daily operation:
Thanks to its tracked chassis, the CoreShred 8 can be easily maneuvered to any desired location across the plant yard.
Waste wood, construction and demolition waste, as well as challenging industrial materials, are reliably pre-shredded and reduced in volume.
Thanks to the special geometry of the shafts and the asynchronous shaft rotation, the CoreShred 8 offers a particularly good feeding performance even with light, bulky and complex materials. The asynchronous rotation prevents the material from becoming tangled.
An investment that pays off
For Ecoberg, integrating the CoreShred 8 is an important step toward efficiently returning recyclables to the circular economy. Whether for material recycling or the production of high-quality refuse-derived fuels (RDF) – the machine delivers precisely the results the market demands.
After the first few months in operation, Operations Director Marco Mangili offers a thoroughly positive verdict: “If I had to make the decision again tomorrow morning, I would choose the exact same machine. That really says it all.”
