Dr Philipp Nellessen has been CEO of DBG since 1 July. He also serves as managing director and spokesperson for the management board. The 48-year-old wants to strategically develop Doppstadt both as a brand and as a company: "I am looking forward to the new challenge and a trusting working relationship. As an internationally established solution provider, Doppstadt enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry. I want to build on these important foundations and lead Doppstadt strategically into the future."
Many years of expertise at national and international level
Nellessen has held leading positions at various subsidiaries of Thyssenkrupp AG, among others. As CEO Middle East Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa at Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions, the 48-year-old impressively demonstrated his leadership qualities on the international stage. As COO of the LEAG Group, he played a key role in expanding the energy supplier's portfolio. In addition, the civil engineer led the development of LEAG’s subsidiaries. The LEAG Group is one of Germany's largest energy suppliers.
Dr. Konrad Kerres Steps Down from the DBG
The 48-year-old succeeds Dr Konrad Kerres, who had a significant entrepreneurial and strategic influence on DBG as its managing director. Kerres withdraws from DBG at the end of the year. In the future, he will concentrate on his duties at RBG GmbH and LIG GmbH. Kerres has nothing but praise for his successor: “Dr Philipp Nellessen has extensive experience in various industrial sectors, many years of expertise in strategy development and has been responsible for operational tasks at an international level. We are convinced that he will lead the Doppstadt Group competently.”
